25 INDISPENSABLE LESSONS OF 2016

So i'm thinking fondly about the past year with so much gratitude in my heart. It's my birthday today (Wink) and I just couldn't help but look back in appraisal.  The year stretched me further into fulfillment . The year brought me deep comfort and showed me that "big" is in relation to one's understanding; because what we sometimes call big is actually tiny in the real sense of things.  Below are my 25 invaluable lessons learnt from the practical experiences of 2016 journey. I hope it inspires you to grow in your niche! 1. God anticipates our needs and meets them in DUE Time.  Click to Tweet  2. Wisdom is knowing how to use available resources efficiently. 5 THINGS TO REMEMBER WHEN FEELING UNQUALIFIED FOR YOUR CALLING

“Alicia, would you please stand? We have decided that you will lead the girls at the next boot camp. Everyone please applaud Alicia”. Alicia placed her hands on the desk as she gradually stood for what felt like three hours to her. Pupils of grade 3 Diamond class applauded and hollered in excitement as their new leader was chosen.  Their applause and voices seemed to come from a distant land as Alicia couldn’t hear anything other than a group of people having some kind of meeting in her head. One voice said, “I have freckles and I’m not fine enough to lead the girls. Another said, “I don’t have a loud voice like Helen, they won’t listen to me”. For what felt really long, Alicia kept recalling the 101 reasons why she could never be the girl for the job. “Alicia, would you please step forward to address the class?” said Miss Diane. Alicia was lost in her head monologue that she didn’t hear the teacher call. Everyone called at her before she gained consciousness...

HOW TO EFFECTIVELY USE YOUR GIFTS

Photo Courtesy:  InColors.club I’ve met many young people who are awesomely talented. They know it, everyone knows it, and even hell knows it. Yeah right, some even go for talent hunt shows…. I found I had the ability to write poems when I was 19. Could it be that was when the gift found its way into my life or I actually was born with it? I’m not sure. However, one thing is true. The time when we realize the gifts we own is important as knowing how to effectively use them.  You’re lucky if you found you could sing at age 3; because if you were to live for 79 years, it means you have 76 years to use that gift. If you found out at 20, then you only have 59 years to use it. I believe is a special privilege if we knew what our gifts are pretty early enough. So what if you knew at 3, and never sang or kept ruining your voice by smoking? Would you have effectively used your gift? You know the answer.  Read: How To Gain Satisfaction A gift is a thing given wi...

LIVING IN TRIUMPH mentoring/Course

To register  CLICK 74% of girls say they are under pressure to please everyone (Girls Inc, The Super girl Dilemma) 98% of girls feel there is an immense pressure from external sources to look a certain way (National Report on Self Esteem) 92% of teen girls would like to change something about the way they look, with body weight ranking the highest. (Dove campaign) 90% of eating disorders are found in girls (National Association for Self Esteem) 87% of teens think that their lives have an overall purpose ( George Gallup International Institute ) but only a fraction of that percentage finds that purpose before their 21st birthday. That delay equals to waste in valuable lifetime because the first 25 years of one's life are totally PRIME in determining how the rest of one's life turn out. What about the other 12% that isn’t even aware that there is a purpose for their life? If you are between the ages of 13 and 20, and have ever -struggled ...

HOW TO GAIN SATISFACTION

My throat yearned for the touch of a frozen liquid. It had been trapped hours behind the microphone ministering to eager young people. I took the first can of malt I was offered. Uuuh-aaaah!!! My mouth gasped aloud in delight. It felt good to finally feel that cold 'ting' flood my throat. However, few moments later, I was set to prepare my body for bedtime when I realized I was still thirsty.  I reached for the bottled water by my bed and moans of hmmmmmm, aaaah, yes, escaped my mouth after every major gulp. My conclusion after that day, chilled malt is nice but water is the answer to actual thirst. The state “satisfaction” describes the point where expectation, desires or needs are met. Hence, Malt calmed my thirst but didn't satisfy me. Depths of desires rage within us. Goals stare ahead of us, beckoning on us to grasp the pleasure of accomplishment. As we journey through the year I will like to share with you God's comfort in the year 2017 and b...
